The other week I shared my opinion on high-ticket offerings and whether or not you need one (or two). Today I’m sharing my thoughts about low-ticket offerings in a business. Specifically, in a digital business, and the role these offerings play in building up an online brand.

Don’t forget to check out the upcoming events that I’ll be hosting for Creators Getting Paid community members. Before I share my low-ticket offering ideas, I wanted to breakdown how these inexpensive products can build up your brand and grow your income.

Should You Have Low-Ticket Offers?

Short answer is-yes. You should absolutely design and sell a few low-ticket offers. There are a number of reasons why they are an essential part of growing an online brand’s recurring income. Similar to Costco’s $1.50 hot dog, a well-designed low-ticket product that engages your community members is a useful way to get people used to buying from you.

  • Low-ticket products are a great way to introduce the people you would like to serve with your products to who you are, what you do and the ways you can solve their problems.

  • Most creators don’t spend enough time reflecting on the journey that someone will take when engaging with their brand. I’ve shared the flow that I think about below. I'll share what this looks like in my business.

    • Provide free content and learn about your community member’s pain points.

      • Blog posts, podcasts, live streams, etc.

    • Create an inexpensive low-ticket offer (YOU ARE HERE)

      • Digital Printables

      • Ebooks (I write romance and non-fiction books)

      • Newsletters (Creators Getting Paid)

        • Money Sprouts Paid Tier

    • Design a slightly more expensive low-ticket offer

      • Workshops/Webinars (taught live)

      • On-Demand Workshops (available a couple of times a year)

    • Mid-tier offer that shares a deep dive into a topic or issue that people are needing more help with.

      • Membership experience (The Mint Collective-Coming in January)

    • High-ticket offering-You’ll notice that I don’t include coaching. I’m not a huge fan of high ticket coaching which is why I don’t include it.

      • Contracting gigs

      • Brand Partnerships

      • Brand Sponsors

Real Talk

You cannot 100% of the time rely on low-ticket offerings. Low-ticket offerings are a great way to smooth out your income and build rapport with your audience. You also are learning what your audience wants from you from the products that do and do not sell. Finally, low-ticket offerings are a comfortable way to get used to selling to your audience.

15 Low-Ticket Offerings

Here’s my list of offerings that content creators should review and think consider which products are appropriate for their content and for their audience needs.

  1. Ebooks

    1. Fiction-I write romance books and it’s one of my absolute favorite ways to monetize my creative interests. I love reading romances so writing them have come pretty naturally to me. Marketing does take some time for both styles of writing (fiction and non-fiction)

    2. Non-fiction-My non-fiction books have not been as successful as my fiction works BUT they have been a great way to share my expertise.

  2. Digital Printables

    1. Travel-Vacation planners specific to locations

    2. Checklists-For building habits, achieving money goals, etc.

    3. Seasonal items-These could be coupons, tags, journals or calendars

  3. Newsletter-You could leverage different types of products and sell them within your newsletter. In fact, my free subscribers in 2023 purchased a significant amount of products from me last year. You can charge a subscription fee for a paid tier like a do for Creators Getting Paid.
