My name is Michelle Jackson and I’m the founder of Creators Getting Paid. Why did I decide to launch this project?
I got so sick and tired of watching incredible creatives and community builders struggling with the financial side of their businesses.
The earning money part of their business.
I started a personal finance brand in 2012 and was frustrated watching other creators make tons of money and I was effectively still kind of broke.
I noticed a couple of things. There were a lot of good-hearted, kind people designing needed spaces for communities that would otherwise not be served.
Tthe founders were always a little bit conflicted about the following (even if they didn’t say it out loud) I would hear people say the following:
I love serving my audience but I don’t want to charge them a lot.
The high-ticket coaching model really isn’t for me…even though I love the money.
Building a brand has been wonderful but I want to more boundaries around how I have to show up.
Social media is so exhausting.
These weren’t just money blocks, there was a deep philosophical differences in how they felt about ethical monetization. I was also this person.I’d experienced the same internal conflicts.
Then I would hear the following:
I love what I do but I need to make more money.
I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to earn money in my brand.
Is there a way to make money online without having to be constantly ?
I Decided to Find Out
I starting having conversations with people that I knew who were building impactful communities while earning great money in ways that didn’t conflict with their values. Creators such as Julien and Kiersten Saunders of Rich and Regular, Anna DeShawn of The Qube and Cody Berman of Gold City Ventures.
These creators were fun, led fulfilled lives with purposes and just were all around great people. These folks also weren’t getting enough accolades in my opinion.
I wondered what were the secrets to their success?
