Solve a Problem
Sometimes when people are asking how to make money (in general) the person they’re asking will flippantly say “Solve a problem.” What on earth does that mean and how does that apply to the creative work that doing with your podcast? Through out the year I will share creators who’ve figured out ways to solve a problem that people in their community are dealing with. I’m going to share examples below.
Create a unique community that you’ve noticed people are looking for and asking about. Super random examples below:
Podcasting Conferences-Make connections with people who have similar interests
Sewing Communities-Make connections with people who have similar interests
Side-Hustle Nation-Nick curates side-hustle ideas (how to make more money with side-hustles)
Grants for Creators-My friend Danielle curates endless leads for grants. Saving people tons of time looking for leads. I even shared an interview with her in Podcasters Getting Paid. Click here to access her interview. Available to paying subscribers.
Podcasters Getting Paid-I noticed that podcasters were having a hard time envisioning how to monetize their projects. So, I created a resource that is basically becoming a library of money making ideas and resources.
How to Find the Problem YOU Could Solve
What problem could you help find a solution to within your community? Here are some things to look out for.
What are people in the space you’re in asking about ALL THE TIME? What’s their number one question?
What is the number one question that YOU keep asking and wondering why there isn’t a tool or resource for that question/problem?
Are you constantly fascinated by the idea of finding answers to that one problem?
Is it fairly straightforward to do?

She is currently traveling across the US in an RV with her husband and can run this part of her business from anywhere.
The value of I Find You Close
