Black Friday Sales
I have decided on the following two products for Black Friday. There are a couple of pre-recorded workshops that will also be for sale.
3-Month Mastermind from January 2024-March 2024-For the month of November, I’m pricing it at $450 paid in full for the three months. Awesome price. Yes, I’m announcing the pricing now because people need time to make decisions. I normally charge $300 for one hour of coaching. Getting 3 months of support for $450 (or $150 a month) it is a phenomenal deal. In January if there are still spots open I will announce the monthly pricing which will likely be $250 a month. This deal will end one of two ways-all spots are gone. Or, the Tuesday after Cyber Monday.
The Mastermind will be capped at 15 participants
Each participant will have a 1-on-1 with me
Goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for feedback, strategy and product design.
Goal-Help creators design a framework at the beginning of the year that they can tweak and adjust as the year moves on
Help participants build systems/products that help them get consistently paid.
Masterminds have been the #1 resource that has grown my brand
Meetings every other week.
Design Your Brand for 2024 Success Workshop-This would be a “live” workshop hosted at the beginning of January.
It’s November
The snow that we got over the weekend is officially gone and a couple of ski resorts have begun to open. As we begin moving towards the end of the year I’m going to lean into more content that helps you to begin designing and planning your business strategies for 2024.
Whoa
I can’t believe it, its officially November 1, 2023 and Holiday Mariah Carey has just been defrosted from a giant cube of ice and is ready to become the “Queen” of Christmas again. Don’t believe me? Check out her social media threads. There are some lessons learned from Mariah Carey’s dominance over the Christmas music charts.
5 Lessons Learned About Getting Paid as a Creator
Mariah Carey as a Case Study
I’m not being random with this case study. These lessons are also VERY applicable to creators trying to get paid with their work. That’s YOU.
Create a product good or service that is a one and done item-In Mariah’s case she creates music. That music can be played and pays her over and over again. For online creators those one and done products could be:
Ebooks
PDFs
Workshops or Webinars
Course-Do not create the course first. Pre-sell it THEN create the course. If only one person buys the course you haven’t spent hours building out a product that only one person is using.
Create a unique online experience
Please note: I did not include crowdfunding on this list because that’s not a product. It’s a call for support.
Have fun with the process-Mariah has leaned all the way into the Queen of Christmas persona. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and it’s a lot of fun for her audience as well.
Everything she does leads people back to her brand and product(s)-Mariah is working a strategy to get as many streams, licensing deals, etc. As possible with her music. People forget that the holiday season increases sales for her entire music catalogue and other products. Not just the one song.
Grow back catalogues and varying product tiers-Not every product is for everyone”All I Want For Christmas” is not the song for everyone. However, Mariah has a lifetime of music that people can enjoy. She also has other products that she has worked on ranging from:
Perfume
Books
Licensing of her image
Apparel
Concerts
Black Irish (Irish cream alcohol)
Create new ways to sell and enjoy already made content-Mariah is now going on a Christmas Concert tour! In fact, she will be making her way through my town in three weeks.
Diversify your offerings-This takes TIME. It’s very difficult to build out and test several products at the same time. Having diversified products helps to balance out your earnings and protects you from the ebbs and flows of seasonality, demand and economy.
Have different pricing tiers for your products-Meet people where they’re at. It doesn’t mean that they’re broke. It just means that they have a different willingness to spend for whatever reason. Mariah gets this.
Be Careful
Paid Tier
You don’t want to accidentally design a business that isn’t aligned with your goals, what makes you comfortable, etc.
I’m sharing some additional thoughts on what it has been like to design and test out different product ideas and what has worked and hasn’t worked via video below.
