A Quick Backstory

A little over a year ago I had an idea that was created out of frustration. Every year for the past 5 years I found myself speaking at conferences about how creators were getting paid for the work that they were creating online. But, I kept bringing this message to podcasters because at the time I felt like other online creators/entrepreneurs were getting the message.

I was wrong.

For the past year of growing and sharing Podcasters Getting Paid I kept getting the same comment:

“Michelle, the message and content that you are sharing shouldn’t just be directed towards podcasters. This resource should be for anyone who is a digital content creator.”

The truth of the matter is that I was also noticing that by having such a narrow audience focus-there were stories, tips and conversations that I couldn’t share with my audience.

My Content Creation Journey Began in 2012

I started creating content online as a blogger and I absolutely loved it. In fact, I was in one of the first significant waves of content creators in the personal finance space-many folks whose names would be familiar to you if you consume personal finance content.

As time went by these bloggers would eventually add additional components to their personal projects such as:

Podcasts
YouTube Channels
Wrote Books
Became TikTok Phenoms
Grew massive newsletters
Fostered unique online communities that they connected with offline as well.

They weren’t doing “just” one thing. Instead, they were building comprehensive brands.

And getting paid.

What is Creators Getting Paid?

It is a space for inspiration, information, tips and ideas. Most importantly it’s an accessible resource for people growing online brands. I’ve also recorded a short podcast episode about Creators Getting Paid that you can listen to here.

What is the Focus of Creators Getting Paid?

Helping online creators figure out the one (or, more) products that they can design and grow in their business to create predictable monthly cash flow.

Predictable CASH FLOW

Many creators are making money online in some way. They have managed to get a sponsor or two for their podcast. Maybe they’re making some money with coaching. Or, they have worked with brands. For many creators this could mean a HUGE spike in revenue and then a drop until the next payment hits your bank account.

Creators Getting Paid is focused on helping creators identify how to smooth out their revenue so that their businesses are sustainable for the long run.

What it Includes:

Creators Getting Paid Website and Podcast
Case Studies-There are so many people who’ve successfully created sustainable businesses. I plan on speaking to them.
Office hours-Once a quarter free subscribers will have office hours. Paid subscribers will have once a month office hours with the exception of July and December.
Online Events-These will happen throughout the year (such as Meet and Greets)
Workshops-Where different strategies and monetization concepts are shared
