Will I see you there?? One week from today I will be on my way to Las Vegas for Podcast Movement Evolutions-Podcast Movement’s smaller creator event that it hosts once a year. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Podcast Movement Evolutions here is what makes this event unique:
The Attendees-I find that the podcasters who attend this event are further along in their content creation journey and are really looking to scale their projects. There are also a lot more industry professionals in attendance at this event. I also love that attendees are from all over the world, have created incredible communities and produce phenomenal content.
Event size-This event is smaller that the Podcast Movement event hosted later in the year. I love that it’s a much cozier experience.
Event content-This year’s event has some incredible sessions focused on monetization, utilizing video, growing communities and more. I find the content to be intermediate to advanced level.
Venue-The venues tend to be a little cozier which I really like and it’s so much easier to meet the other attendees.
Fun-The team does a great job of planning a variety of fun activities that attendees can enjoy.
I’ve even included a link to a review that I did on last year’s Podcast Movement Evolutions event hosted Los Angeles. This year’s event will be in Las Vegas.

My Top Tips for Having a Great Podcast Movement
Whenever attending a conference there are the practical preparations and the strategic ones. These tips are useful for any event that you plan on attending.
Practical Planning
USE THE APP-Podcast Movement has a fantastic app interface. Begin using the app as soon as it goes “live” prior to the event.
Wear clothes that you’re comfortable in-Don’t underestimate how important it is to present yourself in the way that you’re most comfortable. Podcast Movement Evolutions does NOT have a dress code. Be yourself.
Take breaks as needed-These conferences require that we have to be “on” and high energy for a number of hours in a row. Take breaks as needed.
Bring cough drops-I lose my voice all the time at conferences. It drives me crazy, but it happens more often than not.
Layers, layers, layers-Conference rooms are always chilly. Bring a nice sweater, jacket or something that will keep you warm during sessions.
Allocate some time to explore the host city if possible. This time I might go off the Strip and go hiking or eat at one of the restaurants that Keith Lee has recommended on TikTok.
Conference Strategy
Be clear about what you would like to get out of the conference. That clarity should help guide your conference experience.
Choose sessions that help you achieve your goals. I will be hosting a session called “How to Design a Podcast Eco-System that Attracts Collaborations that Pay”
Make no assumptions about the attendees that you meet. You have no idea who knows whom, their expertise and unique experiences. Similar to when someone shares that their mom’s cousin does xyz-you just never know who you’re meeting.
Ask questions and actively listen.
Share your wisdom! Attendees would love to learn from you-share what you know.
