One of the conversations that I have often with podcasters and other online content creators is how to get more people to their projects. Oftentimes people will wonder if they should spend more time on social media, and ask how to get news coverage. I’ve had a lot of external media coverage in various forms so this week I’m sharing a “mini course’ with the paid subscribers on all things media coverage. Some of what I share will surprise you, but my hope is to get people thinking about how to get media coverage and market their projects before spending on paid marketing efforts.

Media Marketing Mastery

I’m getting so excited about Podcast Movement Denver! This month I’m talking all things marketing and one of the strategies that many people forget to embrace is connecting with other hosts and folks in your content space PRIOR to a conference….even if you’re NOT attending. Media Mentions Mastery

Getting consistent and impactful media coverage for the work that you’re doing can become a huge distraction. Creators will ask themselves questions such as:

  • How do I get my podcast, etc. covered by the news or some other important media outlet.

  • How often should I get media coverage?

  • Where do I start with attracting media coverage?

I’ve had the good fortune of receiving a lot of media coverage including my most recent news segment around Valentine’s Day where I shared my self-published romance book pen name and persona. I literally got a t.v. spot to talk about one of the projects that I work quietly on that has NOTHING to do with my main brand. This week we’re going to cover the ins and outs of the following:
